Overload rotational throwing movements close to the pattern
For rotational speed in throwing movements, use the same approach as linear sprinting: try to overload the movement while staying as close as possible to the movement pattern. Overloading a movement pattern may improve the athlete's power output and strength in that very specific movement. Many trunk and rotation actions can be strengthened using overloaded rotation exercises, though a difficulty is the huge technical component in the arm and the final throwing movement.
